Ashley and I met in Panera in April to chat about her  Travel themed engagement session and the possibility of shooting her Dominican Republic Wedding…. the kind of things that make this Chesapeake Virginia Photographer want to DANCE! hahaha! From the moment we met we hit it off – Like friends meeting for lunch. She is hilarious and so easy to talk to!

After our meeting, we had some set backs with coordinating everything, but once we got the ball rolling, it was OOOON! We were both beyond stoked! In fact, she said my enthusiasm about it from before we even booked is what made her want to hire me! I mean WHO WOULDN’T GET PUMPED ABOUT SOMETHING THIS AWESOME?! hahah

We had face time dates, emailed, texted… lol every form of communication possible and then the day finally came!!!

The day of their session the weather was PERFECT! We’d had some HOT days, so I was a little worried since her babies were going to be in a few, and I wanted them to be HAPPY! haha But the temp was on point, the sun was glowing and their beautiful little faces were SMILING!! =)

CE Flight School and Hampton Roads Helicopters allowed us to rent their place for the session, and it was SO much fun!!! Both establishments have incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and made this experience that much more incredible!

Ashley and David’s outfits were so good… soo soo soooo good! HAHAH! They both looked INCREDIBLE! So classy and sexy… perfect for the setting. They had NO problem working it for the camera – such a GORGEOUS power couple. <3

Shortly after their session they decided they wanted ME… ME… of all the people in the world (!!!!) to photograph their WEDDING! Oh EM GEEEE, Y’all!!!! I get excited over EVERY wedding I book, because I truly LOVE my couples and LOVE my job, but when you throw in a tropical destination, I just want to fall out on the floor and cry. LOL! And that might or might not have happened 😉
